I love this part of what you wrote and will need to remember it often as our lives will be uprooted in the next 7 months or so...

"God will never leave me nor forsake me no matter how many historic dips, twists, and turns our economy, government and climate take. He is in this for the long haul and I’m sticking as close to His side as possible. It’s where that warm, fuzzy feeling can be found after all."

Thanks for the inspiration, Lauren.

Hey! There you are! I have been wondering where you were and how you were doing. You went a long time without posting, but I didn't give up hope in hearing from you again. I can't tell you how happy I am that you guys are moved and finally getting settled. May God continue to bless you and your family in your new home.

I'm so sick of hearing all the bad stuff that is happening now or is to come! People get it together and find some peace. I'm so thankful for a relationship with the Lord who never fails and is always the same yesterday, today and tomorrow! That's all that matters to me!!

Amen and amen to your last paragraph, Lauren. Even in Canada, listening to the news and all the talking heads and analysts, it can be overwhelming. Praise God for who He is and His Word that never changes.

The general rule is as follows:

Affect is a verb meaning "to Act upon or to influence"

Effect is a noun meaning "rEsult or consequence"

Have a great week!

Yay! You're alive! And well! And happy! Praise God!

I know what you mean about the news......... I think we're all feeling that. I stayed up until 1 AM last night sewing some homemade Christmas gifts, and my husband said he'd take care of Hunter in the morning and allow me to sleep in ... but Hunter came in at 8 in the morning (yes, there is a point to this story), and turned the TV on to watch Dora, but all I saw on the screen was "WE INTERRUPT THIS REGULARLY BROADCASTED SHOW FOR A SPECIAL BULLETIN." Do you really think I could go to sleep after that? All I could think about was going to the grocery store, stocking my pantry, and getting non-perishable foods I can store in the basement.

And do you know what my husband said? Stop worrying that the sky is falling. Those exact same words. Honest. So I really needed this reminder to keep close to His side!

And ... we spent $350 on groceries today. ACK!

And ... I would venture to add "communistic, marxist ideology" to your description of said democrat, but you know... it isn't my blog or anything like that... ehem!

Peace out, sister... peace out.
