I’m stepping out in faith right now. I feel compelled to speak something that I heard God say over and over throughout this last month. I believe that this word is for Austin and it’s surrounding communities.
The very first Sunday of March, I had a dream that I assumed was for me personally. But every Sunday morning since, I have had this dream confirmed and reiterated to me both through Scripture and others.
In my dream, my pastor held my face in his hands and both lovingly yet urgently told me to rend heaven. He said it over and over, louder and louder, Rend Heaven!
Rend means to tear open violently. I didn’t understand this.
I spent time with the Lord to find out what He was saying through the dream and He led me to Isaiah 64:1,2:
Oh, that You would rend the heavens and that You would come down, that the mountains might quake and flow down at Your presence—
As when fire kindles the brushwood and the fire causes the waters to boil—to make Your name known to Your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at Your presence!
Today, Saturday April 7th the last day of passover, I believe God is saying that He will rend the heavens and move the mountains for His children as we repent and worship Him. God is doing a new thing in Austin. But He is calling us to something new too. He is calling us to think differently, from worldly to Kingdom. The time is now and He is willing to make His Name known and make His enemies tremble before us. Church, God is saying that our sincere repentance (a change of mind) and fully surrendered worship (of our whole life) rends the heavens and draws His overwhelming presence. His presence is a holy fire bringing love, joy, peace, unity, deliverance, restoration, healing, and wholeness; it is fullness of life! All heaven is ready to break loose. Are we willing to do what it takes to bring heaven to Austin?
